On Friday May 10th we attended the 2019 Cell Senescence UK Symposium at Edinburgh organized by Juan Carlos Acosta and Tamir Chandra, both from MRC-IGMM, University of Edinburgh.
Sabela Da Silva-Álavarez from the lab presented her work on senescence during development and tissue regeneration in zebrafish, and I presented our work identifying and characterizing a novel family of broad-spectrum senolytic compounds.
Talks and posters were excellent, showing the enormeous interest raised by cell senescence, attracting people from very diverse fields.
